Fabula Facilis: Graculus et Avarus

Vir avarus nummos habet multos.
Graculus avis furax est,
et nummos aliquot avaro surripit,
et in loco abdito eos reponit.
Sed avarus furtum cognoscit,
et furem comprehendit et plectit.
"Mala bestia!" clamat.
"Quis furor te adegit
nummos meos mihi abripere?
Quid nummi tibi prodesse possunt?
An nummos edules esse putas?"
Graculus respondet,
"Scio non edules esse,
sed deceptus sum exemplo tuo!
Credidi nummos prodesse posse
tam mihi quam tibi."
