Fabula Facilis: Pirata et Alexander Rex

Alexander Rex,
olim cum pirata colloquens,
ei dicit,
"Quo iure tu mare infestas?"
Pirata respondet,
"Eodem iure, quo tu terras infestas.
Ego autem latro vocatus sum,
quod mihi una tantum navicula est;
tu victor appellatus es,
quod classes et exercitūs magnos habes."
Fabula docet:
Piratarum et victorum maleficia differunt
non meritis, sed magnitudine.

This story is based on 913. Pirata et Alexander Rex.
